Joaquin Phoenix plays a traumatized taxi driver with many reasons to want revenge on society. He combines his violent background with the will to do good by carrying out various types of missions for discreet but powerful people. One day he is asked to find the daughter of a politician. It will be a mission with dire consequences... The film was nominated for the Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival and Phoenix took home the award for Best Actor.
