Before the Devil Knows You're Dead

A time-wise, low-key, thriller and family-tragedy about two brothers, played by Philip Seymour Hoffman and Ethan Hawke, who plans and carry out a robbery against their own parents' jewelry store. Hoffman plays the drug addict Andy who has a complex relationship with his parents, and Hawke plays his devoted slacker younger brother. Hawke is an easy victim to persuade. Then their robbery is set and the movie jumps back and forth in time and takes scenes from different perspectives before it finally reaches the dramatic and desolate end with murder and death.
