The Argentinian thriller The Clan is set in the 1980s Buenos Aires after the fall of the dictatorship. Arquimedes Puccio has previously worked to kidnap and harm the opponents of the military junta's security service. After its dissolution, he continues with kidnappings on his own, along with a couple of his sons, all while the mother in the family cooks and makes sure the children are reading their homework. Even though the solicits are paid for the kidnapped victims, the victims rarely stay alive. The film, which won the Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival 2015, is based on a true story.
