Debut director Dan Gilroy's Nightcrawler is a pulse-pounding, satirical thriller about unscrupulous freelance journalists and news journalism based on shocking images. Louis Bloom is a determined young man equipped with a police scanner and a camera filming car accidents, fires, murders and other mayhem. The images he sells then on to a local TV station where the producer Nina constantly looking for even more spectacular images. The film Oscar nomination for Best Screenplay.
