In Tony Gilroy's debut movie Michael Clayton, the legal processes are dealt with because of a major chemical company's unethical activity in the form of conscious environmental pollution. George Clooney is playing an alcoholic lawyer who is supposed to clean up the dirty business and complete the hiding of the scandal which the management has already begun doing. That’s the beginning of a drama that takes place on a personal and a moral plane and also a thriller with an ethically burning subject.
