Stefan Zweig: Farewell to Europe
In a Europe ravaged by war and persecution, Austrian writer Stefan Zweig is forced to flee and live in exile in South and North America. As a Jew and intellectual, he no longer has a place in the society where he grew up, and from his outside perspective in exile, he tries to understand from a distance what is happening in his former homeland. The film was Austria's contribution to Best Foreign Films at the Oscar Gala 2017.
