A powerful and award-winning drama about a boxer, Ali, and a trainer of killer whales, Stéphanie, who begin a relationship, despite their disinterest in serious relationships. Marion Cotillard plays an unforgettable role as Stéphanie. Ali is a single father. Poor, homeless and without a job, he takes his son and moves to his sisters’ garage in Antibes. He meets Stéphanie after a tumultuous night, their first meeting is short and has no major impact. But after an accident Stéphanie sees her life collapse, she takes a chance and calls Ali. In Kommunalarbetaren, Catarina Berglund writes: "The storytelling is magnificent. The dream-like and the turgid are mixed with social-realism.” The film was nominated for two Golden Globes in 2013, Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture and Best foreign film.
